Wife loves the idea, would your family be able to go or someone available to watch the kids for a few days so you 2 can have a mini getaway?
Maybe we can get a Minn. group together for it. I will start a post in cruises to perk up some of the other MN people.

In '96 and '97 it started in LA, in '98 it started in Pomona and in '99 and '00 started in San Bernardino

Bob..In 2001 PT started in Pontiac Mi. and kinda followed Route 66 all the way to San Bernardino Ca...

So the 2005 will start in Green Bay and finish in ???

Whats wrong with starting in Seattle or finishing there? Heck the upper half of the USA is beautiful in the summer.

i plan on doing powertour again .
i done it for the first time this year and found it is one of the funist things to do in your classic ride (long haul or break)

i MIGHT try to take a ride down I35 and long haul it all the way back up- but i think maybe an overdrive tranny might be in order for a ride of that magnitude.. anyone got an extra Tremac TKO they don't need and are willing to donate?
hell, maybe i could leave the Nova at home, and take either the cop car (and scare a few folks) or the 78 Ford LTDII i got going together over the winter. i can almost gaurantee i would have the only one of those.

I don't want to hear anyone west of the Mississippi complaining!!! You should be on the east coast-they gave us our own Powertour for 2 years ,98 & 99,and then took it away!!!

As mentioned above they used to come to California either start or end. Not many people liked driving through the desert and I heard guys saying they wouldn't do it again. The sand was beating up the cars pretty good. They try to change the route every year. This is one of the best places to get information on the Power Tour http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/hotrodpowertourclub you can usually get the news well before it is printed. There are a lot of nice people there that have been on several tours. It would be nice if they did come a little further west than where they are starting.

The new deal is that they will start where the previous year stopped. 2003 ended in Dallas/Fort Worth. 2004 ends in Green Bay so it will start there in 2005.
