I have what is "believed" to be the original black top on my '67. It's in pretty good shape, but is starting to fade, with bleached out spots here and there from the sun. I have done some searches and have yet to come up with some kind of dressing that will bring it back to a blacker look. I have found convertible top cleaners, but not sure if that would bring the black back. Anyone come across any any dressing with a black tint to it? Kinda afraid to use armour-all or tire dressing...someone must make this type of product??

You may want to contact a shop that does 'redying' of tops.
There are different procedures necessary depending on if it is an original cloth material or a replacement material.

I use the cleaner and products from - http://store.convertibleparts.com/accessories.html - but, I don't think they would restore your thinning top color.

Hopefully others that have done their own top will chime-in.
