Hello all,
I have a friend with a 91 Camaro with a 3.1 and auto/overdrive tranny I don't know what tranny however.
Problem is that the speedo does not work for at least 15 minuets then starts slowly. I assume that this is a eletrical unit rather then a cable operated. What should I look for when troubleshooting the problem.

its not electronic, its as cable, it could be simply loose, and as the car warms up it stretches and engages the speedo, check the cable on the trans, make sure its in , hell pul it out and see if the gear is still all there. if so then check the same thing behind the dash. could just have popped out a bit, or may need replacement.

that is exactly what I wanted to know. It should be easier to trouble shoot knowing it is meahanical. Just with the weather I don't want to go crawling around on the ground more than necessary now http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
