Hi,

For 1600 UK£ (included shipping home) I could buy a 18000 miles LS6 + clutch + trans 6 speed out of a corvette C5... 1600£ = 3100 $
I don't know all the expenses linked with the installation of that in a 68 camaro, and maybe there are easier engines to swap under the hood than this one, but what do you think?

Should I go with it?

Be careful of overseas deals. Make sure its not a scam. I had to pay close to $5k for my 6000 mile LS1 including 4L60E tranny and freight, so $3100 seems fair. IMO, I'd buy one stateside. Did not notice where you live. If its in GB, then yes, its a fair deal. If you live in the states, check, check and double check to be sure this is on the up and up. If you pay via PayPal, it offers some protection, since you may be able to contest the charges if need be.

i think i'd tell them to keep the tranny- unless you are going to put the whole Vette transaxle under the car, as the tranny is mounted in back right in front of the differential.
