dont want slapper bars, whats a good setup to run in the rear?

Find your self a pair of Lakewoods. They arent that expensive and you can normally find em on ebay fairly cheap..

what are lake wood sare they the slapper type? looking for the panhard type somthing that doesnt hang low

Try Cal-Tracs, or Slide-A-Links. Dont know which are better, havent used them, but may someday.

i have South Side Machine lift bars on my 69, they work great!

caltracs on mine, they work killer, plus you can "unload" the bars, (take preload out), and you don't even know they're there, for street use.
