OK! It is not enough that my unit (our Division) is being dismantled and some are being laid off while my unit is in limbo, waiting to move to another office building closer to the main office and courthouse. Meanwhile, our work continues as always. NOW! I get word I may be assigned to assist a "cold case" squad forming in our county. I would enjoy the change, however, it looks like I will still be responsible for my case work at the office as well as the new assignment. I just can't wait for the next shoe to drop. I have one investigator off recovering from surgury, one retired "on duty" and two of us are carrying the monthly load right now. If I have to maintain my case load here and assist another "task force", I guess I'll just give up the idea of having some time this summer to play with my toy as I can't see how this can be done in 40 to 50 hours a week. Only time will tell I guess. graemlins/clonk.gif

Major Bummer Dude. I have the same work related overload. I just said "to heck with it" today and stayed home and am working from here.
Hang in there.

Sorry to hear it Codi...My work just layed off my engineer, and gave me ALL of his responsibilities and then turned around and said something like "sorry, times are tough, here's your 30 cent raise pal  I now work through my breaks and have to cut some corners just to barely get the work done! At least we're employed I guess... ;)
