I have just installed my new kick panels and reinstalled the emergency brake but the spring switch does not come into contact with the pedal I have pulled it all apart again and cannot seem to find a way to make it compress or ajust it to make it come into contact with pedal. Is it supposed to be activated by the pedal, am I missing a piece? :confused:

There is a small tab that sticks out of the E brake cable, it contacts a switch that is similar to a door jamb courtesy light switch.

Yes it seems the little holder that slides into the purchase that holds the brake cable is missing ,I will either prefab or try to locate one at the wreckers, let the hunt begin..
