Does this cover come off like everyother cover or is the two bolts in the middle of the cover connect to something. I have one but never noticed until I am about to remove it. I know this cover strenghtens the rear end but how does it do it. Does it connect to something internally that I should be aware of? Also, is there a special gasket I have to use with it when re- installing it? I need to take it completely off so I can remove the axles. Lastly, what do you torq the bolts to?
Thanks
Mark

Those two bolts are called load bolts. It is not necessary to remove them to remove the cover, but prior to reintalling the cover loosen the outer locknut and back the bolts out a bit. After you get the cover installed and torqued the you outer bolts you torque the two load bolts to 5ft\lbs MAX and tighten the lock nut.

Just wanted to add that no gasket is used, just a thin bead of silicone sealer( I used permatex ultra black), just make sure both surfaces are clean and dry(no grease) and don't use too much silicone. I think cover bolts(not preloader bolts) are torqued to about 20 ft.lbs.
