I am looking at buying a 68 ss camaro that has been in storage awhile and need to know what i can look for to know if it is a real SS.Besides the obvious stuff of course, Any help would be appreciated. jason

Haved you looked at http://www.camaros.org? There is a wealth of info there. If the driveline is original, it's pretty hard to agrue with a partial vin on the block and correct engine code. Look for the dual exhaust hanger reinforcment on the pass side frame rail, by the rear tire, and the proportioning valve in the brakeline under the floor, but even these aren't sure things. 68SSCamaroinKS Jul 5th, 05, 08:19 PM Check out this thread: 68 SS |
