I have an 88 Camaro and I am wondering if there is a how to web site on how to replace the door pin and bushing. I have done this to another car but all I did was change the upper and lower pins and that was it but this car only has one lower pin with bushings and the top has just bushings. The reason for doing this is because the door has a lot of play up and down so the door is hard to shut (without slamming it).
I replaced the lower pin and only one bushing for that pin because but I could not figure out where that other lower bushing goes (or it did not fit where I thought it should have went). I did not replace either of the two bushings for the top (not sure how). I thought that a new pin with one lower bushing might give me a temp fix....well the door was not 100% tight after that but it was a lot better. It only lasted about one month though and now it is back to where it was.
Is there any how to sites that might cover this? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
camp
