i have no more than 20,000 miles on my auburn unit and i took my car to the strip and while warming up slicks, only right tire spins. with street tires on, it will spin both tires every time but put slicks on and that one dang tire spins  . is my diff. wore out? if so which one should i get?

Change the fluid and make sure you add the right amount of friction modifier and then see what happens.

Welcome to the club . . . I burned up two Auburns before I went to an Eaton. No problems since.

It also helps to get a line lock so the back brakes aren't causing one of the rear tires to spin faster than the other (heats up the posi).

I use an Eaton posi and a line lock becuase i'm terrible at power braking. BTW, i dont use any "friction modifier" only Mobil 1 75w-90 gear oil.

Are you running a 10 bolt or a 12 bolt? Definitly use anything other than Auburn. I've wasted 2 regular Auburns and 1 "Pro Series" in a 10 bolt. POS !
