My brother-in-law has a cobra with a few upgrades like different supercharger pulley,chip,75 shot nos,exhaust,and maybe a few other things, i just get sick of talking about it well his dang car runs 11.1 in the 1/4 mi, I hate him! :mad: he races in brunswick ga. his car is black with silver stripes and stickers all over it, if anyone sees him please throw rocks at him or put some sugar in his gas tank, there might be some money in it for you. thanks for all your help. :thumbsup:

What I dont like about cars like this , is that they always pull up to you and want to run you, well its ok when you got apples and apples,, but when one with a blower and gas pulles up to me , a 306 and says lets go heads up ,, I say , lets talke about this , this is apples and grapefruit. S/C, chip and NOS, and only a 11.1? what was it stock? and is the rest of the engine stock? but I would have to say im impressed cant argue numbers

yes the internal parts of the motor is stock but a stock cobra has a forged crank and rods, the motors have been described as "bulletproof" by many mags. he has stock 3.55 gears, i would hate to see 4.11's behind his 6 speed!

cobras are nice. If I had ever bought anything but a Gm it would be a cobra SVT. theyre nice cars.

Don't get me wrong,, the Cobra's are nice, I even tried to buy one before they started putting market valued price tags on it,, just something to drive ,,,

What about me? I have my Camaro(#1) and also a '89 Rustang 4cyl daily driver. That's not it though, it gets better, my wife drives the Dodge Caravan and my dirt bike is a Honda! :clonk:

I have a Camaro, a Honda Pilot and an Olds Intrigue. Oh, and a Chevy k1500 for home depot runs. I'm a Chevy Muscle Car guy, but I'll drive anything if it fits my needs. And that Pilot w/rear DVD meets all sorts of needs.

I don't mind bringing this up at all, but I figure onna our First Gen. cars with racer1320's, (Ed's), hopped up 468 motor whose prior combination has been posted here and over at "Big Brother", (Team Chevelle), should put him in his place quickly IF you can get our cars to hook w/o tearing everything up??

I had a ford ranger with 210,000 miles on it. but now at my house we have 2 Camaros (93,67) a trailblazer, a 1969 AMC AMX and an 02 Pontiac Formula (LS1 is the ****) and to be honest I hate imports a lot more than I hate ford at least mustangs are RWD V8's not 4cyl fart cannon mommy cars

I would have him run my buddies 67 it has a bowtie in it. She can run fast for a automatic. Did i say it had a bigblock attached to it. We dont have problems with the stangs in the area. So like he said " build it he will come" other wise enjoy your car it will keep it value long after his has dropped to 4 grand cause of all the stangs out on the street.

I have been a die hard chevrolet fan my whole life and when I was younger it was nothing but chevy,chevy,chevy! But now that I am older I have come to appriciate all muscle cars. Heck, I even drive an Exploder Oops I mean Explorer. Lol. Anyway I think the new stang is an awsome car, and I think GM better respond with something and soon!

It's interesting to me that there are so many loyal GM owners. I love my Camaro but I have never been particularly loyal to any auto manufacturer. The last GM car I bought was in 1977 when I purchased a brand new Vega. A couple of years later I bought a 1979 Mustang. Since then I have owned an MG, Porsche 944, Mercedes 300E and two BMW 3 series. The wife has had a Honda Accord and a Dodge Durango. I guess I've covered just about all of the major manufacturers.

The only ones I won't drive are Japanese cars and Daimler/Chrysler products. I've owned Fords, Pontiacs, Chevys and even a Porsche Boxster.

Well speedfreek i'll stir the pot some more I love chevys too and have for many years,but I drive an 05 Mustang with a 6cyl AND an automatic everyday,I love all the cars not just chevy's.Dodge is wearing out the market with their new products,and so is Ford,But I have no doubt that Chevy will be there eventually.As for my Mustang,6cyl and Auto,it has gave several LT1 cars a fit from red light to red light,I probably could have got em but I didnt want to cut off my Air Conditioner.If your ever in the Augusta area look me up and Ill take you for a ride.Oh yea I even added a pic in my sig just for you.Dont get mad this is all in fun LOL

It's kind of like baseball -- just because you have a favorite team doesn't mean you have to hate all the other teams to love the sport.

While I'm a certified, dyed-in-the-wool Camaro nut, my hat is off to Ford for what they've recently done with the Mustang. They've come a long way from the almost-discontinued, Granada fox-body platform they started with in 79. Granted some of the kids driving Daddy's Mustang get a little cocky from time to time, we just need to flex a little GM muscle to keep 'em in line ;)

Mustangs have always been the bandwagon pony car. So I'll probably never own one. And back in high school a couple of friends got older Mustangs so I naturally had to get a Camaro to help keep the balance. But most people can recognize a Mustang instantly because they made 100 billion of them. They would look at my Camaro and ask "what is that?" As far as daily drivers, I've been split between Chevrolet and Toyota(trucks). My daily drivers over the past 22+ years:

69 Camaro conv
89 Cavalier Z24
93 Z28 Indy 500 Pace Car (supercharged for 4+ years)
91 Chevy SS454 pickup

and the Toyotas
90 4x4 pickup
88 4Runner
97 Tacoma
86 4Runner
87 4Runner
88 4Runner (current daily driver with 145K miles)

I found that I'm pretty good at fixing the old Toyotas so I stick with them. But my Chevrolet daily drivers were all great cars/trucks that were also fun. It would be nice to actually get a vehicle built after 2000, but that's not in the budget right now. As for Mustangs, my friend still has one of his 66 convertibles so I have no need to think about buying one.

well my 91 mustang coupe runs 10.20's in the 1/4 on 93 octane pump gas on motor alone :) we dont even want to talk about nitrous and race gas. oh, it is street legal and driven regularly. :) there have been many corvettes and camaros roasted by that beast.

now just to make sure my old 67 camaro can hang with the newer cars it has a LS1, cam, pulley, headers, and some N2O for the extra kick.
