While talking to a dealer about my soon to be puchased 2004 Implala, we got on the subject about privacy and what happens to all the personal info recorded during a sale. He said that in the back of the dealership, locked in a vault was the sales records going back 50 years!

I discussed the fact people were looking for these records. it was the time versus money question to open them up.

I will continue this discussion with him. Maybe more of us should ask their freindly Chevy dealer what is in the back rooms! smile.gif

I found out where my 67 RS was bought new but the dealerships gone. I imagine the records are too. It's cool to know some still have records. But that may be a rare deal, no? smile.gif

I found out where my car originally came from through NICB. The dealership is still in business but all the records are gone. This place has moved twice and changed ownership 3 times. Funny thing though, the name stayed the same and it is still in Amarillo, Texas. Plains Chevrolet is the name of the dealer.
