I've got a 2001 Chevy Cavalier that I bought to drive to work. It runs good and it gets 29 mpg driving 80 on the freeway. It has a keyless enty system but didn't come with a remote, I bought a remote and now I need the steps to program it. I've looked and can find the instructions for just about every Chevy but mine. Anybody know the steps to program a new remote?

I hate to tell you this, but the 2001 cavalier requires the use of a scan tool to access the body control module special funtions mode. you will have to go to a dealer, i usually do it for free in the service drive, but you might not get that lucky. David
