Went to the Syracuse Nationals yesterday and today. It is a pretty big event, the get anywhere from 7000 cars to upwards of 10,000 cars) So ive been told, didnt actually count them all of course :) Anyway, streetrods are there in the largest number as its a primary event for rightcoasters assoc, a streetrod org. But, jeez, where there a lot of first gen camaros there. I cant believe how many are out there, guess no danger of them becoming extinct. Sometimes i really wish they werent quite so popular. It got to the point at the show where it was like, hey look another first gen camaro...move along. Guess thats the price you pay for being the best looking muscle car ever made, lots of people want em.

Yep drove mine there Joe. Dont get me wrong i do love seeing camaros and fellow camaro folks. But when my buddy said, "man it seems like Camaros and Chevelles are a dime a dozen" it got me a little depressed. And hes a Chevelle owner.

I was thinking of going, especially after I strained my back yesterday morning and then it started raining. I ended up taking a long nap instead.
Did it rain there?
I was thinking the same thing man.... SO many first gens around. It seems like every time I turn around, there's another 67/68/69 Camaro that I'd never seen before driving past me. Spotted a nice '69 Friday night that I'd never seen. I always read the auto parts and classic car section of the local classifieds and there's never any shortage of Camaro and Chevelle parts and cars for sale.
I guess that's another reason I always have my eyes open for a 68-70 Skylark for myself and an early 60's Impala for the wife. ;)

My brother and I were there yesterday. Almost as hot/humid as Carlisle :)
Saw so many great cars. There was a very cool Datsun 510 with a Mopar 340 and cage. Talked to the guy who works in a shop in Rochester and has done some of Brock Yates' projects.

"man it seems like Camaros and Chevelles are a dime a dozen" it got me a little depressed. You shouldn't be depressed when you try and buy parts!

Yeah the weather wasnt the greatest. We got a big rainstorm friday afternoon for about an hour. It was so humid on friday you could hardly breathe. Even out and about at night at like 10pm and still soooooo uncomfortable.
