i bought a 85 iroc z. the engine tranny and driveshaft was pulled. its a roller. i bought a 305 for dirtcheap out of a 85 caprice. it has a 350 transmission. but another guy says its a metric will that bolt up correctly???? will the driveshaft have to be made or diffrent? can anyone tell me???

what do u mean by metric?? as long as your engine and tranny bolt up, all you need is to hook up the driveshaft to the diff. It "should" bolt right into place. Connect all your wires, crossmember for the tranny, engine mounts and your set!! All you need to do then is to finetune everything. By the way...wat do you mean by metric?? As in what is metric, your engine bolts and ****? Or do you mean the driveshaft bolts? :clonk:

I bet the bottom of the pan says 'metric' on it. It's a TH350? I might think that is not the original trans from the 85 Caprice. It would have had a 700R4, I imagine. Or maybe a TH200, but I don;t think so. Anyone?
