does the pins go from bottom up like upside down or installed from top. I seem to remember they go from bottom I forget. And what would happen if I install it from top?

If you are working on a 67', I think the top hinges have one hinge that the pin will go through the top and one that goes through from the bottom. On the bottom hinges they go in from the top. Most pin kits are a universal pin, but to be correct the pin should go all the way through and have an e-clip on it
