i have an 82 Z28, and when i pull on the p/b, it doesnt do ****. Well, what i wanted to know was...how do i adjust the thing, it has the drums in the back and i threw them off, and it looks like i cannot adjust the cable in the rear, but im not sure. Is the adjust on the rear of the car, or on the p/b itself??

There is a cable adjustment over the driveshaft where the single cable from the inside connects to the two cables going to the rear. It’s kind of a PITA.

It's a pain in the arse alright. The worst thing about these stupid e-brake cables is that they ALWAYS rust and become immobile unless used contstantly. I have had to replace mine many times, and even though I try to use it, it still rusts up again, just from carwash water too. Presently, mine just dangles there useless, and I have no real desire to adjust or replace it anymore. Just out of curiosity, doesn't the '82 Z28 have rear disks?

I think they were options. My 82 T/A was loaded, and it didn't have them (until later :) ). Those calipers, with the big integrated ebrake arm, suck. No one uses the ebrake, which is the only way to keep them adjusted and free. They'd freeze and they're done. Expensive, too. But the drum cars have small drums. After one or two high speed stops, the fluid would boil and push back. Changed to the disc setup and the difference was night & day. No more fade.
You're right about the rust thing, soak it down with PB a few times.
