My 68 has been finished, painted and to several local shows. The other night I had to drive it home in the rain (first time in rain) and I noticed a few drips on the drivers side at the top of the windshield. Is there a way to stop the leak with out removing the windshield? I am afraid the paint will get damaged when removing the chrome from the outside. It seems to fit right up to the paint and even appears to have been inplace when the car was painted. I can tell this because it is just a little paint on the chrome in one spot. Suggestioins needed!!!!!

My windshield also leaked, mine was leaking at the bottom on the driver side.

I had to remove the wipers & the valence, and then remove the moldings.

All I did was to add some urethane around the glass and the body.

Its not too hard to do as long as you have the right tools to remove the wipper arms and the molding.

Good Luck.

Thanks, I may try this my self, but I will have to read up on how to remove the molding. Any suggestions? Thanks Again.

It takes a special tool to remove the trim from the clips. To avoid chipping paint, apply some paint tape to the body near the moldings to protect the paint. when it is all done, remove the tape.
