Took my front fender off today and found that the outer cowl (tulip) and part of the kick panel were rusted away. No surprise here. But, there is also a large angle bracket that is welded to the lower part of the firewall where the bottom of the fender attaches to. That is also rusted away. Does anyone know if this bracket is available? I am going to replace both outer cowl pieces but I need this bracket also.

That bracket you are talking about is the lower mount for the fender. It is part of the rocker half. If possible, repair what you have, as replacing it would be alot of work. When you have the tulip panel off, you will have access to the lower bracket for repair.

Thanks Scot. That's kinda what I figured. The part that is rust off is the bottom portion where the fender attachs. I guess I could cut some of it off and weld in a replacement piece and then drill for the fender bolts. At least it won't be seen. Do you know if the kick panel under the outer cowl is part of the floor board, or is there a separate piece for this part.

The angle bracket part is part of the inner rocker. The inner rocker is avalible as a full panel. It also includes part of the circular area of the vent hole. The whole side cowl is also avalible. If you need the farthest rear bottom hole for the fender then you will fabricate that. Check various suppliers and you will see the picture of the inner rocker. It is made by dynacorn. They also make the side cowls. Ground up restoration has good pictures of these.
