Does you VIN start with 69-to 71 or 51-53? VIN's for a late 10C 69 camaro are around 695000 to 71000. If it starts with 51 to 53 then thats an early car that may be to early for the d80 to be put on the tag. But I am unsure if that is acurate. I would do a search on the d80 tag topic.

Seems to match up with the vin ok. Looks like a GM tag to me. It doesn't have the normal repo autograph, but the rivets look suspect to me. Hard to say for sure. I am undecided.

Well, I'll take undecided as a positive,since it seems the repops,as you say,stand out. I checked the rivets, and was concerned that they did not have the "goo" in the centers, but have seen them both ways,both hollow and filled.. First thing I did was to check them from behind, and they seemed pretty tight to me.

Forgot to mention...car also has a yellow "X3" in grease pencil behind back seat, and a small hole in the front subframe where the D80 should have mounted.

No question, real tag.
