Anybody know what it means? kz1000ltd Jul 23rd, 05, 04:59 PM That obviously means it's an X-33, Z/28 car!!!! Tag looks good too, woo hoo!!! Bob Brissie Jul 23rd, 05, 05:00 PM Man I sure hope you're right...... grag Jul 23rd, 05, 05:30 PM I found A white X3 behind backrest on the passenger side. MacNeish notes it in his book. Gary L Jul 23rd, 05, 05:58 PM Man I sure hope you're right...... There is no doubt unless your standard 6 banger front half had an old Z back half welded on.:D Bob Brissie Jul 23rd, 05, 06:09 PM Cool ..... Take a look at the cowl tag on my other post. Car has the small hole in the front subframe (I'm told for the D80 mount), 8K tach,Muncie,no console, center fuel gauge, dual exhaust bracket and both correct disc brake prop valves... Dusk Blue, std. int, flat hood, X3 mark... Hope she's the real deal. If not, somebody stayed up nights to be sure all of the above was in place! :):) Bob Brissie Jul 23rd, 05, 07:42 PM Here's the "X3" mark. A bit faded, but there.... http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b339/belairbobs/EbayX3.jpg Chuck L Jul 23rd, 05, 08:26 PM Bob, Is this car located in Dallas, TX??? BAD CAR Chuck L Jul 23rd, 05, 08:27 PM 2" hole is rightbehind where distributor sits. grag Jul 24th, 05, 08:31 AM That X3 is in the same spot as mine. Bob Brissie Jul 24th, 05, 09:04 AM Cool..... and with all due respect to Chuck...the car checked out ok....and now its in my garage! Aside from a tunnel hack and a trunk floor needed, a solid little Z throughout. :):):):) Chuck L Jul 24th, 05, 04:42 PM Hey Bob, Good t talk with you last night, After reading post, I just paniced, I flew from Knoxville, Tn to Dallas to look at that car. It is a real Z as I explained to you last nite but last discription owner gave was not to accurate. Tag and serial numbers are good, just look where we talked about. For me, It was to much work considering the other cars im redoning now. I have 4 under going major restorations and really didnt need another. Didnt mean to panic you to bad, just didnt want a TC member to spend more of his/her hard earned money then needed. hope you got the good deal. Bob Brissie Jul 24th, 05, 05:28 PM Chuck, appreciate the heads up. Its a project for sure, and with four others of your own going, I don't blame you for passing....alot to keep going all at once. Deal was good. Thanks again... 69CamaroRT Jul 24th, 05, 06:39 PM hi , on my rear bulkhead behind the rear seat i have dg3 under the factory applied glue. hopefully meaning dark green interior and x33, i hope, due to the fact it is a pre x coded car(10A of 68 car). WildBillyT Jul 24th, 05, 07:32 PM hi , on my rear bulkhead behind the rear seat i have dg3 under the factory applied glue. hopefully meaning dark green interior and x33, i hope, due to the fact it is a pre x coded car(10A of 68 car). FYI, I have DG1 and so far I've deduced that my car is an X11. I'm hoping the same regarding the markings. Leonard1 Jul 25th, 05, 05:49 AM I have DG1 behind my back seat. Frost green exterior, and green interior, so I can only assume the "DG" stood for dark green interior, and it's an X11 car. |
