Dropped my munice, changed throwout bearing, put all back together, but now i feel a "spinning" on my foot when i push in my clutch pedal. Could it be the fork not installed properly? It goes into gear ok, so I'm at a loss. I've got a center force with an m20. Any advice would be appreciated. Thx

It is possible that the release bearing is on the fork improperly. The only way to be sure is to take it apart and look. Once it's apart, if the release bearing wasn't installed improperly, get a better quality release bearing or check the one you bought to see if it's defective. I've had experiences where ordinary production release bearings don't do well with high pressure plate spring loads. I would use a McLeod or a Hays release bearing for a performance clutch set up.

Thx Jim, makes sense, worked before and not now. So I guess I have to drop the tranny and start over

Viper, if your good and feeling lucky, try removing the boot, then popping the fork off the ball, then put it back on right, lots easier than dropping the trans and nothing to lose!!!

Here's what you're looking for - everything (fork ears and spring ears) needs to be in the groove in the O.D. of the bearing - nothing hooked on the flange at the back of the bearing.

I had the same problem with my M21. The solution to my problem was putting a roller bearing pilot bushing in. I was told by a former mechanic that high revving the engine with the clutch depressed could cause a "brass" bushing to wear out of round. I know what you're going through, taking the anchor out for a simple part, putting it back together to find out the problem was not solved, then to take it all back apart again...Good luck
