Hey all, i was curious where is the best place to decode my car? I know its probably here but I have a lot of questions and I am looking for anyone that can help me. My car was being turned into a drag car or was a drag car and the previous owner was going to restore it so i am missing a lot of stuff. Basically the original gas tank is gone and there is no interior and the nose is not original. Basically all i have figured out so far is that it was brown with a vinyl top, standard black interior and had the rocker moulding and it had the chrome louvers on the quarter. My biggest question is the factory stamped holes in the tail panel, between the lights. The only emblem that fits is a Z/28 emblem and the holes are not drilled. There is a drilled hole above it which I assume is from a dealership tag. On the inside where the holes are is the original black white and gray splatter paint. If I post up the vin or the cowl tag is can someone help me or point me to anything i am missing that i can figure out what exactly my car was? Also there was no rearend either! Thanks for any help!

All the emblems that go in the tail panel (SS, RS, Bowtie, and Z28) have the same pin locations because those holes were already in the tail panel when it was assembled into the body.

we also know it was a Rally Sport as well (the backup light holes)

when i went to NPD to get a bowtie emblem for the rear, the pin location didn't match! And the SS and RS pin locations were smaller!
Also like I said there is another hole that was drilled into the tail panel to the left of the lock hole which I am unsure about.

when I had it sandblasted I realized it had the holes for the quarter louvers and the rocker chrome strip.

I'm not expecting to have anything rare or whatever, i just want to find out as much as possible about my car.
All I know now is that it was brown with a brown vinyl top, black standard interior and was built on the 4th week of november. The car had disk brakes, and was set up for a manual, but that can all be changed. Thanks guys!
