Hey guys, if you know any software developers who would be interested in an Austin job, send your resumes to me. We are looking for Factory Automation Software Developers.
We are transitioning our systems from Unix to Windows NT, so Windows programming is a plus. Visual Basic is the flavor of the year. We also program in Korn shell (under unix), Tcl script, Java, and a bit of C++. There might even be some demand for Linux people.
This is a semiconductor industry job and the software we develop automates the factory production equipment by selecting recipes remotely and collecting data during the run. The idea is to reduce the chances of a human being making a mistake operating the equipment.
I'm hoping to find some technically skilled guys to help out long term. We have plenty of sustainers and need people who can figure out how to make things happen in software. Most all of our work is console based so don't freak if you don't know GUI programming or database programming. It's very simple, logical stuff.
