MY FIRST 69

I finished my home built M22 today graemlins/hurray.gif It has all new M22 gears in m21 ratio, auto gear super case/iron mid plate, 68 muncie tail, and a hurst comp plus shifter. I was sitting on a brick bench racing the hell out of this thing, it shifts great, and the shaft spins like butter in all gears. Enjoy!

Looks great but, could you please spare $.12 for a new nut to hold on the 3-4 shift lever? :D

Seriously, it looks great to see a pretty new tranny and stick ready to do some powershifting.

As I recall, you were looking at a pretty expensive rebuild job originaly, right?

As a side note, that shifter mounting bracket looks different from any other bracket I have ever seen. Where did you get it? I sure hope it fits.

thats the testing nut. My dad and I thought the shifter would come with everything, but it didnt. So we savlaged some nuts. I will change them and add star washers.

Mark,
It is the correct bracket for a 67/68 Camaro Hurst Comp Plus. The bracket has a U bolt that goes around the tailshaft housing and is bolted under the transmission mount. It is completely different from a 69.

Scott,
Thanks for the reality check. I should have looked a little harder
