I was wondering if anyone has tried or knows anyone that has tried to upgade a 305 TBI in a 92' camaro to a 350 TBI . I would like to install a 350 with vortec heads and a TBI manifold and a large throttle body . I want to know if reprogramming the ECM will work or will I have to swap computers. I would like to use the stock setup to make the swap easier. I don't want to have to rewire or swap in a different computer. :beers:

Hello,

The conversion is possible. Build a new short block 350 with dished pistons and bolt all your 305 stuff to the new short block. Pocket port the heads and add bigger vales if you want. Use a computer compatible cam and a chip and the engine will pick up a bunch of power. If the combo runs a little lean add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and that will fix it.

I have done this swap in an '85 IROC!

Good Luck!
