I am redoing the interior of my 69. I am now installing the deluxe interior. I am using the original door panels, painting the front and recovering the rear. I have used all new seals and fuzzies. Does the rear door panel fit up under the windlace or just butt up to the windlace? The door is striking the windlace and is not wanting to easily close. Has anyone else had this sort of problem? Thanks for any ideas.

The rear quarter interior panel has some extra material that folds over the metal ridge by the door and then the door windlace goes over that. That's how it was on my '68 anyway.

Same problems with the 69 im working on. The repro windlace is junk and ripped after closing the door a few times. The original i have on the other side fits good, but the door hits it.

I think Boodlefoof is correct. I bought OER windlace when I replaced mine. It seemed to work out pretty well. It doesnt fit quite as well as the GM stuff, but its a whole lot cheaper.
