My Uncle wants to restore his 68 camaro and put a twin turbo system in.

The engine is a 327cu-in, bored cylinders .30 over, 350cu-in valves, and a 4bbl carb.

Now, would I need to replace the 4bbl carb. And what would be the best priced twin turbo kit.

Usually, people build an engine designed to work with turbos. They aren't really a bolt on. Does the engine have lower compression turbo pistons and a forged bottom end? Does it have a nice set of heads?
Good turbo kits can run over 10K easily.
If he is going the twin turbo route, he should probably get ready to shell out some major $$$!!

He can probably make something pretty quick without spending all of the money cramming hair dryers under his hood. But maybe his idea of quick requires a 1000 horse dyno sheet!!

I priced a complete Gale Banks Turbo Engine kit. It was GULP... $33K!! OUCH. Opted for a bone stock 345 horse LS1 and 4L60E instead for about 80% less. Turbos are high dollar propositions.

Check a recent issue of Car Craft. There is one in it. Call that guy (I think he is an engine builder).

Looks like big $$$$$$$$$$ You could escape with a centrifigal blower for under $4k.
