Hello I am from France and i went to a metting in Switzerland this weekend with my camaro. There were more than 2000 cars from the US before 1974
I took some pictures: here (http://g.scheidt.free.fr/zuchwil/)

***Admin edit. Image was a bit large for our dialup connected folks. Clickable is better when they are big thanks.***

My Camaro is on pictures 1468 and 1574.
What do you think of it and of the others cars in Europe?

My Camaro is a 327/275, madeira maroon with power glide, power steering, disk brakes... matching number.

I hope you will enjoy the pictures and that my English is not too bad.

Gui,

Thanks for showing us such an interest in North American Muscle overseas. It nice to see that you have such a liking for these classic cars as many over here love the British and European cars. Keep up thr great work. Your english was fine my friend.

Man they sure got great taste in American Muscle, almost every car shown was a highly desired car for thier type. I.E.... Z28,SS,convertable, rare factory options.... man now I know where all the good ones have gone off too!!!!

Wait a minute!!!
Are you sure those arn't all the cars that where scammed in this on going 419 scam? You know the one where they send you a bogus cashiers check and buy the time your bank notifies you there is something wrong your car is already heading to the car show in Switzerland!!!!

Guillaume,

Thank you very much for the wondeful car show. I can not imagine how that 1960 Chevy Impala with travel trailer could navigate some of the narrow city streets.

I see you added some discrete driving lights behind the grill. Euro-American. Nice touch. Nice ride.

Are there any more pictures of the girl next to ZH Camaro? Well, just curious. I love the thought of a 1969 Pace Car driving through town. People must do a double take once they realize what it means. The lime green Cuda parked at a city square would stop all traffic. There is nothing subtle about it.

I see the last photo had rain on the ground. How many people had heart-burn from having their cars rained on?

I am curious about how American muscle cars are generally perceived. Is there an overall appreciation? Or is it more, just the enthusiast?

Rick.

PS: The Vett with baby seat was classic.

Thanks again. graemlins/beers.gif

The show was in Zuchwil and is one of the biggest in Europe.
The light behind the grill were added in 1967 to homologate the car in France I think, it is very useful but I don't really like them, I would prefer not to see those 4 yellow rouds behind the black grill.
I think most of those cars don't often see the rain but it only rain half an hour.
It is a bit disapointing to see all the dust on the car after the rain when you just washed it and it was shinning.
In Europe and particullary in France when they see those cars a lot of people think it is too expensive, it consumns too much fuel.
They don't know it is cheaper than any new European car.
Nearly every body thinks that American cars aren't safe ...

But on the other hand there is alsa some people who have a passion for those cars. I am one of those :)
