CFunK Aug 2nd, 05, 12:05 PM Well, I finally got around to getting the VB springs de-arched and here is the result.

Questions and/or comments are appreciated.
thorpe67RS Aug 2nd, 05, 01:15 PM I like it! Nice looking car. Of course i might be just a little bias towards red 67 RS.
JimM Aug 2nd, 05, 02:45 PM An improvement for sure, Chris. Kinda looks like the front needs to come down another inch now, too, or maybe you just need practice holding the camera straight?
CFunK Aug 2nd, 05, 03:04 PM Smart a** :)
The front might could come down. I am gonna drive it and see how I llike it. I am not thrilled about pulling everything on the front end just to get the springs out and cut them.
jackalope Aug 2nd, 05, 03:30 PM looks sweet funk, id say to have it come down a lil in the front, but you would probably end up rubbing too much... looks great none the less
JimM Aug 2nd, 05, 03:33 PM :beers: t
Brentmc Aug 2nd, 05, 06:56 PM Chris,
Looks good--the back looks perfect now...
If you don't mind me asking, what's a ballpark cost to have springs dearched?
Mine need dearched and the front needs to come up...
CFunK Aug 2nd, 05, 07:19 PM $250 and that included the labor to R&R the springs and de-arch.
BPOS Aug 2nd, 05, 08:51 PM I like it a lot! Agree on the front - it sits just about like mine, sorta the uphill racer look. The list of things I'd like to do to my car is long. $$$$
CFunK Aug 2nd, 05, 11:05 PM "Uphill Racer" now that is kinda cool.
My driveway slopes upward toward the garage, perhaps that is the "problem". Maybe I should get some pics with it on level ground.
boodlefoof Aug 3rd, 05, 06:32 PM Lookin' good Funk! I need to get rid of these lowering blocks on mine and get some of those springs.
bbd564 Aug 3rd, 05, 08:35 PM Can the spring shop dial the drop in to exactly what you want? For example I would like my rear to come down about 2". Can the spring shop do that? I remember looking into this a couple of years ago and was told that they were really guessing at this process and couldn't guarantee it. I would like to learn more. Thanks
CFunK Aug 4th, 05, 10:56 AM I asked for a 1.5" drop on both sides and it was dead on.
click Aug 4th, 05, 11:00 AM looks perfect to me chris. :) nice ride :) drive it up sometime, dare ya :)
CFunK Aug 4th, 05, 12:21 PM Now that the mechanicals are all done, I WILL drive it up there someday.
JimM Aug 4th, 05, 12:42 PM if you do, stop by here on the way! We can bbq some ribs and hoist a cold one or three!
WaynesWorld Aug 4th, 05, 03:49 PM Looks like a nice improvement! I like the lowered stance.

CFunK Aug 4th, 05, 05:04 PM Thanks Guys.
Since Jim popped a blood vessel over the camera angle and his PERCEIVED lack of my ability to hold the camera level, I snapped a shot today showing it on level ground.

well ok then, the bleeding has stopped.
And the stance looks just perfect (now that you figured out how to hold the camera straight) don't change a thing.
I do have a splinter in my finger, and Carol can't seem to find a tweezers... got one handy?
CFunK Aug 4th, 05, 05:59 PM Hey, there was a smiley in there, I just forgot to add it. :):):):):)
You don't need no stinkin' tweezer, just grab the swazall and lop it off.
BonzoHansen Aug 4th, 05, 06:00 PM Thanks Guys.
