Hey gang,
I have a couple of questions for you drag racers.
1: Koni SPA-1 Shocks. I have them on the front of the Nova, but I lost the data sheet and I forget how to adjust them. Can you help? I want to try to slow the front end lift down, I have then on full loose now.
2: Ladder Bars. For all practical purposes I have ladder bars on my car. Rather unusual setup, the front of the bar slides in a pivot. But I can preload them like a normal setup.
What is the goal? I understand that the car tries to lift the left front due to engine torque. So which bar would I add pre-load to? My brain is struggling with this. I know it tries to plant the right rear harder.....but do I counter act this with pre-load? I'm confused.
The car is graining the left rear slick more than the right rear. And when the track gets hot, and the prep sucks, my 60ft times go away big time. I know I won't get perfect performance on a hot track, but I think the differing graining of the slicks is trying to tell me something.
All help appreciated!
I do plan on posting pics of the setup as soon as BPOS comes over with the digital camera. OK AL?
Thanks,
Ron
