I was pondering the idea of taking my 3.8L engine out of my 97 camaro RS and replacing it with a 350 corvette engine I already have a 5 speed.... does any one think its a good idea...

Why shuck's, I thought you were gonna swap in a '68, Lincoln, 462" MEL motor or an old '58, Chrysler MOPAR 392" elephant Hemi???

Good luck with your swap.. And I will add that your 5-speed will probably bite the dust behind a 350 motor FAST!! 265 or 283, yes if you are half-way take care of it...

Do it! Use the 5 speed until it breaks! Depending on the vette year, it might not break (they are not all 500 hp LS7s). Even though I am not sure that bellhousing will bolt to a small block.

I'd sell it and buy a V8 car...
