Just returned from CCR concert at local casino. Even without the big John, it was a blast. Sold out, crowd on their feet, still has original drummer and his pal of 46 years, the bass guitarist. It was worth the ticket to hear those old tunes and come away smiling and wishing I was buring out of the parking lot in my camaro graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Now we have tickets to Moody Blues outdoor concert in late May and Chicago teamed up with Earth Wind and Fire for a tour in August in Mpls. Guess I gotta go.

I saw CCR in concert back in the day, great show!

They really connected with the audience.

Well, not to be a stick in the mud, but it ain't
CCR without John Fogerty.I'm sure it was probably
a good show as those tunes are just so good.
If you get the chance to see John, take it, you
won't be disappointed. He is a great player and
really makes a connection to the audience.

I agree its not totally CRR without John too. But amazingly after their fall out and lawsuit and dust settled, John cant ever perform his old songs. He can do anything he has written since the split up. That is all so sad. Money sure can make friends disappear.

Its amazzing that some of those guys are still alive.. I seen styx on pbs and thought who are those old guys playing? I did see the stones and I they still rock.. really amazing they'r still alive. Keith has probly doon more drugs than pfiezer has even produced.
Plant and Page are playing a bit in the studio, they said they have to see if they can stand to be in the same room for a few hours together before they will venture anything more. atleast they are talking. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Van Hailen is hitting the road again, and the Who just released a new cd its probly lacking a bit in the bass I'm sure.

I always liked CCR, but thought it odd that their identity was that of a band from Louisiana. (Born on the Bayou) Weren't they from somewhere out near Livermore, California?

I saw John several years ago and he did all
the old CCR stuff.Isn't the new band called
"Creedence Clearwater Revisited" because they
can't use the old name? When did this lawsuit you
spoke of take place? :(

The "boys" from Creedence were from Berkeley and El Cerrito, CA.

The reason he originally stopped was not because of the others in the band but because he felt they all got shafted by an exec. at Fantasy records. One of his songs, Zantz cant dance, or something like that, was about a pig who he modeled after the exec. The execs name was Zants or something similar.
