I need to get a set of timing advance springs for my msd pro-billet distributor but can't find a place that sells them. Also which ones would you recommend for a SB400,9.0 to 1,street/strip car.

Don't go by spring descriptions - have the curve set up in a Sun machine, or do it yourself at home with a dial-back light so you can map the results of each combination. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-2/13522/DistMachine.JPG :beers: BillK Aug 4th, 05, 06:14 PM sick, Any good speed shop that sells MSD ignition parts shoulod be able to get the spring kit for you. I bought it at a Sheriff's tax auction from a bankrupt gas station in 1969 for $50.00, sold it about 25 years ago when we moved for the umpteenth time; shoulda kept it  :clonk: sick67 Aug 5th, 05, 12:57 PM Thanks guys I am getting the springs tomorrow. Is there a big difference between the springs that it comes with? sick67 Aug 6th, 05, 03:13 PM Ok so my car currently has the black advance bushing to stop at approximately 18 degrees and the 2 heavy silver springs. It starts to advance at 2k and maxes out at 20 degrees. What combination would you recommend? Thanks for all the help guys |
