Yeah they did make German fighters, including the first jet fighter to be put into regular production, the Me-262. Point is, I would not rag on Messerschmitt. There are clubs and gatherings, etc... Quite a few seem to show up every year up at Hot August Nights. There was one with a fake SBC with a blower on it, sticking out the back window. It sure got a lot of looks and drew a crowd. Some peole didn't realize it was fake.
