Like I don't have enough going already with this car, I am getting the wiring in order before I go any further. I have everything working except the dome light. I am getting nothing at the bulb, and the wiring is just as it was when the car was built. Does the light switch need to be secured to the dash for the dome light to work? Right now it is hanging, like most of the other dash related parts. I have not replaced the door jamb switches yet, but they are here...in a box somewhere. :)
Any quick checks to see what might be wrong.

Switches must be there to complete the circuit I think? They must also be grounded I am pretty sure? Got mine working by messing with the switch and getting grounded.

You should have 12 volts all the time on the organge wire. The white wire is a ground circuit that goes to the door switches. If the orange isn't hot, you need to trace back toward the fuse block and see where the voltage is getting lost.

The cigarette lighter, glove box light, and clock light are on the same circuit. If those work, then obviously the fuse is good. The 10 hole connector by the emergancy brake is the only component between the previously mentioned components and the dome light. You might try there.
