My ACC key position has never worked, so on my 'to do' list is look for answers. Mostly Id like the radio to work in ACC so what short cut could I find to trouble shoot this? Ive got the wire diagram for 69 and it shows so many places the yellow radio wire seems to connect I cant make heads or tails of it.
Anyone got any hints?

I would start at the ign switch in ACC position and use the wire diagram to point me the other accessories getting power supplied.
Radio is one, heater blower, I think, is another circuit to work in ACC.
Once you find if ALL the ACC don't work, then I would unplug the switch connector at the bottom of the column, and place an ohmmeter, or beeper function of DMM across the two wires, one supply to the switch, the other wire is out to the accessories goes-inta & one goes-outta, and if either read continuity or hear the beep, then the switch is good. Could also see if the circuit opens and closes with switch movement.
If other accessories work and not the radio, then maybe the radio may be wired to ignition side of switch only.
The yellow wire supplies current for the accessories to work in parallel with each other, ie, radio on, blower on, etc., independently of others.
I don't have my book here in Portsmouth, RI. as my regular station is at the beach, so I'm relying on your info of reading the schematic.

Try my diagrams. I think they are easier to read.

HI guys, have not had time to dig into this project yet, with getting ready to head to KC on Friday for the Sat. car show, then on to Denver. Adjusted my headlights last night, packed more and just no time to get into a big project that can kill my car when I touch the wrong wires together :) I will get into it after labor day :) Great PDF on the wiring Larry thanks for all that work
