what is the correct lighting orientation of the tail and brakelights for a 67 rs/ss camaro. There are two bulbs an each side but which ones are brakelights and taillight, inner or outter get my drift.

I'm not sure if i'm correct, so wait for other members to reply. I believe that both bulbs on each side are brake, and the outer are turn signals; however if one of the turn signals was on the inner one would still light at brake.

Mine have been rewired since original so I don't know for sure if they are correct, but they are setup like Riccbhard described. When the lights are turned on, all four light with low voltage, when the brake is applied, all four light brighter. When a signal is turned on, just the outside lights flash brighter. Hope that helps.

All 4 bulbs are probably dual filament bulbs. They have 2 filaments and when one filament is on it appears dim when both are on it appears bright.

hmmm.... I always thought they were all used for brake and turn. Also, the bulbs really do have a "bright" and a "dim" filiment, that's why they are keyed to only go in one way. If you turn you tail lights on, then turn them off and step on the brake, you'll see the brake lights are in fact brighter.
