First of all i can't find the wire to hook up my tachometer to the distributor cap, whereabouts would that wire be located in the engine bay?...Secondly, whereabouts do i find the wire to hook up my reverse lights to the plug on the side of my manual transmission?

This is on a 1985 IROC-Z with the original HEI Dist. and a Stock 5 spd tranny

Tach wire for OE tach may be a brown or tan wire and is usually with the same plug with the power wire, the large red wire. If adding a tach wire, and you have HEI, it would attach to the terminal to the left of the red wire on the distributor hook up.

The reverse lights hook up to the trans. The wires, two of them, follow the engine harness from behind the distributor and go down to the trans on the pass side.
