Does anyone know if the main distribution block must remain inline when installing the SSBC power drum to power disc conversion? I omitted dist block during installation. Don't yell at me if that was stupid...(someone told me this was ok to do). The car breaks pretty well and reliable, but does not have what I would call excellent stopping power.

I then re-read the instructions and they said to install the proportioning valve between the main dist block and rear t-block...weellll since I took the main dist block out, the rear line comes out of the Master cylinder and into the prop valve then on to the rear. Have I got this screwed up or what?

When I do that, I use an adjustable proportioning valve. The old manual one (proportioning block), would have been wrong. In theory, anyway. If a factory disc option was available, then this would have been the right part. Odds are you used brakes with different abilities than the factory option, if availble, might have been anyway. So adding an adjustable proportioning valve is the right aproach with some serious test driving. Yes you lost the warning lite switch.

when i converted to 4-wheel disc i left the old block in place and just added the prop valve, since i dont have a brake light, i was thinking i might take it out some time
