I've got a 701/2 formula firebird sitting here that I have beeen debating doint this to. Don't worry, it has no powertrain, no front seats, no steering column, rusted out panels, rusted out frame rails, velour interior with mouse cutouts, or in other words, a basket case. Another guy I know in my home town is putting a 71 elco on a 97 dodge chassis, with a cummins 24 valve, I think the cummins would sound pretty good. What would it take to make a diesel drag car? Lots of gears I am guessing.

My dad and I actually considered doing this here a while back. I have a '78 nova sitting out back with a dead engine that I was just going to use for parts, and my dad had a '70 4x4 blazer with a solid running gear and drivetrain but the body was about to rot off of it. He ended up selling it...it was probably for the best :D We did take some measurements though...they was suprisingly similar in width and length.
