From too much time in the sun, the black "headliner" on my white ragtop is badly faded from the windshield header to the first fold. Anyone know anything that will make it black again without affecting the white outside of the top?

Before replacements were available I 'redyed' one on a '67 I owned with Interior dye from GM and a small 'touch-up' type spray gun.
I worked well and held up for the 7+ years I owned the car.
The dyes are still available from GM and other outlets. They make a special dye for the vinyl tops also.
I'm sure there are also spray-can type dyes, from VHT or others, that may fit this use?
