I have the orig. seats in my 68 Camaro. Is there a place where I can buy new sliders that allow for the seats to go further back?
If not, what is the easiest (yet safe) way to modify the sliders so the seat(s) can go further back?

Check out ebay for seat extenders. Several people are selling both original and reproduction versions.

Right-on!! I just placed a bid for the seat extenders on ebay. Looks like there are a few people out there that make them. These extenders should give about 2 inches more of leg room.

Thanks for the reply. :)

Or build your own :) I had these made at a buddys fabrication shop. They work great as I needed more headroom too. :)

I installed mine and they work great!! Got them from a guy that makes and sell them on ebay for $50.00. They are great for those of us over 6 ft. I'm 6'4 and they make my ride more enjoyful.

How far back did you move the seat? I need more leg room also.

With these brackets you get an extra 2 inches. Doesn't sound like much but is good enough.

remember by going back you also are taking the seat downhill as the pan slopes there. 2" back gives you maybe 3" or more at your head while you sit back in the seat. :)

I bought a set of Corbeau seats, and oddly enough they moved the brackets back a good 2-3"... giving me (6'1") plenty of leg room.

Its an expensive option but it worked great for me :)
