I'm trying to locate the turn signal flasher. I have replaced the warning flasher on the fuse block but can't seem to locate the flasher for the turn signal. Might have been removed from this junkyard dog. Is it supposed to plug into a couple of wires on a clip hanging loose under the dash and if so what are the wire colors?

Looking at the 68 wiring diagram, it looks like it should have a 20 Gage purple into one side of the plug, with a 12 gage purple out.

I think you meant, it's a 12 gauge PINK wire from the fuse block to the flasher, and then a 14 gauge Purple wire to the steering column connector.

The flasher unit would have originally been attached to a clip bracket mounted with a single screw to the right side of the steering column under the dash.
