Finally got my 68 convertible back.
Freshly painted and a new 383 and it is sweet!

For Some reason my door seems to have loosened up and when it is shut and I drive down the road it rattles like crazy. Can you tell me how to tighten it up.
Tail lights are out, NO dash lights, 1 headlight dim and turn signals don't blink. I'm sure I've burned a fuse and just have to find it but was hoping to get some feed back in case it's something more serious.
Thanks
Jeff

On the door, loosen the striker pin on the rear jamb, move it in some and tighten it back down. A little at a time, don't want to go too far and scratch some paint. If the doesn't do it, or if the back of the door is all ready flush with the quarter, verts have some "wedges" in the top corners of the door jambs. If they're not there, put em in, if they're in, make sure they are shimmed to contact. Put shims in till the door won't close, then take out 1.

Your lighting problems sound like ground issues, pretty typical with fresh paint. Go to Ace and get some 1/4" star washers. Put em on 2 tail light studs, the ground off the right headlight, and the ground off the left parkling light. Put one on the regulator ground screw too.

Almost forgot the dash lights. They ground with a metal strap that runs thru the high beam indicator, then up to the center attaching screw. Very possibly the high beam indicator isn't assembled right. The red plastic lens has to go on first, then the ground strap, then the socket.
