: Wires from + side of coil?

Some time ago I replaced my master cylinder. Today I went out and saw that I had forgotten to tighten the proportioning valve down. While tightening it I saw a spark and noticed a pink wire coming from the + side of the coil down towards the rear of the engine. (I had the engine running) I could not find where it went. How many wires come off the pos. side of the coil in most 69's with auto trans? I have the res. wire and a brown or tan one that goes into the harness and then this pink colored one that seems to have been placed by the previous owner. But I cannot find where it goes. Thanks for your help in advance.

I only know of two that were put there from the factory. The resistor wire and a yellow wire that goes to the "R" terminal on the starter solenoid.

I think my cowl air scoop solenoid runs off a pink wire, do you have cowl induction.

I have the hood but none of the parts. The wire was just long enough to hide behind the valve cover. I don't know why I have never seen this before. It had an aftermarket connection so I know the previous owner had put it there, for what I'm not sure. I don't know if it was connected to anything or not. I can't seem to find anything that it connected to, but the end of the wire is clean and not dirty at all , like it had come out of a connector.

It's funny that I have had the car for 5 years and just now found this wire.
