Gentlemen,

Do any of you have a picture of a 69 camaro drivers side door without the mirror installed. This would be the outside of the door. It is an SS396 convertible. The GM door that I am using has several holes in the mirror area and I want to fill the unnessary holes at this time. Just not sure which one(s) to leave. I am very close to completion for paint and left this to last. 3 years of metal work on and off and several weeks of block sanding.........I am almost ready for paint!!! Thanks in advance.

I don't have a pic, but there is a large hole on the door for the cable for the remote mirror...all had them, regardless if it actually had remote. Take your mirror bracket, and cover the hole....the two attachment holes will become evident.

BTW, make sure your bracket is correct for your mirror. I had a new GM mirror on mine, and replaced it with an OEM (might have been from a Chevelle) The two did not use the same bracket. I had to modify the OEM bracket by grinding it a little, and drilling one new hole to align with the hole in my door.

The 2 holes you want will be threaded thru the inner reinforcement, not the skin. Pretty sure it's the center hole that's large for the remote cables, the mirror will cover it.

Thanks for the input. I don't have a mirror currently and did not want to wait for one to continue. Thanks again for the replies.,
