Alright. How much CFM would most likely have been on a Rochester 4-bbl carb on a 327cu-in engine. Cause my uncle has the carb, he just doesnt remember how much CFM.
Also, what would be the right CFM to get for that engine. 1968 327cu-in .30 over with 350cu-in valves. He also says the heads are 350 but I think he is pulling my chain on that one.

on a 327 ? I would say a 600 or a 650. The newer Holley 670 would be ok too.

They only made 2 sizes 750 and 800 CFM. I think the 800 was only used on very large engines. It should be a 750.

You tell the difference between the 750 and 800 cfm Q-Jets by looking in the primary, small, bores for a little bump way down inside the venturi's.
The one with a bump in each bore is an 800 cfm carb. Btw, the bumps are like a third of a dime sticking out on the venturis.... Sorta deal is all..........
Look close!!
AND yes, 800's came on the 454 and 455 (CBOP) and 472/500 (Cad.) GM motors

PS., and I think a Q-Jet is a very under-rated carb. too.....

Yep, I went real quick with a Qjet on the Vega, 9.80/136mph. Not to shabby!
Oh yeh, it was a 364 ci small block, power glide and a 4.88 gear.
2450 pounds.
