I bought hinge repair kit, it has pins and bronze bushings. I pulled the top hinge off only to find out it has plastic bushings.Should I really replace these plastic bushings with bronze? Can you still get the plastic ones anywhere?

IMO, bronze are a better alternative, they're self lubicated but a drop of oil now and then wont hurt them either. I had used them with great results.:thumbsup:

Agree with bruno on the bronce bushings. Also check the holes where the bushings go for wear, oversized OD bushing are avalable, I had to use several to get everything tight.
